Simar’s Dark Roast aroma is a subtle caramel sweetness with a nutty finish, the nose is thorough in conveying the expected taste.

The highest profile flavor component is the nuttiness. Somewhere close to a hazelnut, but lacking the woody earth tones usually found with nutty coffees. It does have some minor notes of caramel, and almost a warm brown sugar taste, but they only a make up a minute percentage of the flavors found in the bean. Taste lingers with the nutty flavor competent however not in an unpleasant or overpowering aspect.

Simar’s Dark Roast is a very easy coffee to drink, the body is thin even when brewed using a higher than average ratio of beans to water, but provides enough of a body to enjoy the mouth feel as you drink it.

If you’re looking for a good straight forward coffee Simar’s Dark Roast would make an excellent morning coffee.
