Default Burning Down The House

How are our Texas natives doing? Everybody okay?

Forums have been awfully quiet lately...

I'm fine. We have a constant haze in the air and my allergies are acting up but my family is safe for now.

We have scorched earth all over, I think it's only a matter of time before I or someone I know is affected.

I have a friend with a house in the Burnet area where the fires are the worst. His is on a lake though so he may be alright.

My friends brother lost his house in the Bastrop fire. Another friend of mine evacuated and the fire was within 20 yards of her home. They've managed to get that area under control. She's been a nervous wreck. She and her family are suffering coughs which are a result of all the smoke. Seriously sucks for those affected. We need rain!

Relief may be coming, if Nate turns north - and doesn't turn into a hurricane that rips the place apart. >_< Luck to you, guys, we're thinking of you.

Sorry to hear it. We are pulling together as a state though, it's good to see the idea of taking care of our own taking over.
