I make myself a 20 oz cup of home roasted coffee every morning to take to work. After that I have to settle for Folgers, but now that my daughter works here she at least makes it strong enough to have some flavor. Still, one cup of Folgers per day is my limit.

All of these threads are really entertaining to read. They remind me of a coffee connoisseur's nightmare.

I'd have to say my rock bottom moment was accepting a cup of coffee from the grimiest auto-repair shop I've ever been to. It may have been recycled motor oil, and yes if I recall I did have a second cup .

Cheers,
W.

I have to stop after a single cup of drip as well.

Been there. I drank it then got horrible heartburn.

They all seemed to be enjoying it.

Having worked on drilling rigs for 30 years I've enjoyed some pretty god-awful coffee. In the good old days it came out of a 24 cup percolator that we drank until it was empty, even if it was 12 hours old But it had caffeine and that was all that mattered.

On an oil rig I can understand that. Not like you can run out to the store you know?

I live in a small town. I've heard there's a Starbucks in the hospital cafeteria but that is as far from my office as you can get and still be in the city limits. Sometimes I will drive home(5 minutes) and make another cup but generally I'll settle for a fresh cup of Folgers if absolutely necessary.

I would say save your money and by good beans online.

I had to drink some really poor drip the other day.

It wasn't worth it.
