Default Holiday Drinks

What's everyone making or taking for the holidays?

I'm going to find some good Kona beans and buy a press and take it with me everywhere.

We'll see how it goes.

Hey, I just remembered that I have 5lbs of unroasted Kona in my pantry. I need to roast some of that up!

I have been making/drinking Peet's Holiday blend for a few weeks...don't know what's in it, but not bad at all!

Well, it's pretty hard to pin down for me, it reminds me a bit of Sumatra, but there is a lot of other things going on in it. I checked the peet's site ant it has quite a few different regions in it. It is not overt, but rather subtle, probably best black to note the complexities.

I decided to buy a personal press, it's a cup with the press built in for my wife and I and a friend who also loves coffee.

Hey Austin, are you going to pour out the coffee or drink it from the cup with the grounds at the bottom? I'm off next week, so it will be time to bust out the syrups and fire up my espresso machine. That means I will be roasting coffee on Friday.

Grounds at bottom, unless I change my mind again.

Any tips?

I have though about those presses before, but the longer the coffee sits on those grounds, the more extracted it will be. I dont think I would like the second half of that cup. The other thing is that you wont be able to add anything to that coffee. Not a big deal for me, but might be for some.

Not for me wither, also I think the speed in which I drink it will make the second half not an issues. The wife on the other hand may have issues.
