Default Degassing (the beans)

Howdy Folks! Is it possible to buy limited quantities of degassing valves? Maybe a hundred or so. I can get 10000 but don't need that many. I'd like to make degassing jars out of glass one gallon jars; I like to sell my coffee in recycled glass jars.

So then a degassing valve would be non standard?

I know a lot of manufacturers offering autoclaves will also carry bottling supplies, but unless you are uniform it could present issues.

Is it possible to degass regular beans without eating them?

I are dumb, I guess, but what exactly is a degassing valve that works on a glass jar? I know that when I used to buy roasted beans the bags had them but I've never seen one on a glass jar.
I degas my beans on a cookie sheet in the garage overnight then put them in a jar. But I only roast enough for a week at a time so leaving them out overnight doesn't seem to affect the taste over the week.

I poke a pinhole in the metal lid of glass jar and secure peel and stick the degassing valve from the coffee bags they sell in grocery stores....which works, but you have to buy the coffee that comes with the bag and that stuff, while not completely undrinkable, sure ain't as good as mine!

Like the valve in a commercial bag of beans except fitted into a lid.

I have been experimenting with measuring degassing. Whole beans give off gas for a week. If anyone is interested in the details I document the experiments on my blog
http://coffeetroupe.com

My interest in degassing started with a discussion on vacuum packing freshly roasted coffee.
