Default Adding Malt to Brew

My local coffee shop roasts their own beans. They do strictly French Press. I'm hooked on it.

Their coffee is thick and packed with flavor. One morning it almost tasted like it had some Crytstal Malt in it.

Well I knew it didn't but that's how ideas get started. Since there might, just maybe be some Home Brewers chimming in on a few topics soon, I was wondering if anyone has tried or thought of adding specialty grains to their coffee brewing process? I am thinking a little Crystal 80 would go a long way in a French Pressed brew of coffee.

(No, I have no idea why I haven't tried it yet.)

I had a friend who used to insist Frank's Hot Sauce and Chocolate Chip cookies would taste delicious together. At first it sounded crazy, but after weeks of being pitched the idea that because of the salty/hotness of the Franks Red hot and the sweet/bitterness in chocolate, they would mix surprisingly well.

He was wicked wrong. Hesitantly, I think this might fall under that category..although I would love to hear the results.

Yeah they are called Hampster Nipples in the comedy world.

Hampster Nipples sounds like it would be a good tag line to a joke, but once the 'effects' start to wane, it just isn't that funny anymore.

Right.

Until you try to work it into a joke. The closest that I have gotten involved a bubbly headed blonde with an obviously cheap and massive boob job.

But even then..........

I've been sitting here trying to construct a hamster nipple joke and I have nothing.

As funny as that sounds...I'm lost as to the correlation. I'm usually a dumbass anyway though, not surprised...

So a man walked into a brewpub and ordered a cup of coffee.

He started drinking and asked the barkeep what the secret to the great cup of coffee was.

The barkeep replied, "As much as you would think that we add some crystal 60L to the beans, it is actually something far tastier..."

Intrigued, the man inquired what the big secret is.

"Hamster nipples," the barkeep replied.
