If you find yourself in South Austin there's a little corner store thatg has great coffee. The name of the place is Live Oak Market. I talked to the dude behind the counter and they have a local roaster producing blends specifically for them. All I could find was a link to reviews.
On the south side you also have Ruta Maya coffee house, which has a roasting facility in the back of the shop. Their shop IS Austin. You also have Mozart's over off the lake. Mozart's also roasts their own coffee. Both of these places have websites, just look them up.
On the way back to Ca. from a roadtrip to visit my brother in Houston, I stopped in to Austin and stayed at an RV park next to a great brewery called Uncle Billys neighboring it were two coffee shops, Flipnotics Coffee Space and Austin Java Restaurant. I went to the Flipnotics and their coffee was good, then again I wasn't in to coffee at the time so I couldn't give you a better review.
