My wife and I buy and sell quite a few antiques around here from estates. Donna comes up with a lot of odd sterling silver spoons that just don't sell or we like. So they go into a coffee cup in our cabinet for using in our coffee. When we have company over, it is fun to see them go through the selection of spoons to find just the one we want. This one friend has her favorite spoon and I have had to get it out of the dishwasher and hand clean it for her.

That's a really cool idea! We do the same thing with beer glasses. I have a large collection of glasses from various breweries and such, and half the fun of having people come over is watching them carefully pore over the glasses for the perfect one
