Unbelievable, friends. You have to read this article. It is simply amazing to see the numbers broken down like that.

When this fad started I felt like this would happen.

It has only been good to GMCR, their profits went up many times over bec of the Keurig machine, now they own all the licensees and the company that created it so they rule.

Profits for GMCR were way up a couple months ago but if you check now you'll see the fad was short-lived... I doubt sales will it sustain once people realize they don't need to pay $50 a pound for the convenience of "quick"

I hope you are right, this is just another way to screw up coffee quality for the sake of convenience.

Agree.

I think there are price conscious people who will turn away from it by by and large most who spent the money on the system will sty with it.

My own personal opinion is the convenience is great but the actual quality and flavor of the coffee is sub par. I've tried many brands but something is off on all the ones I've tried. I only consume the Vanilla Chai/Hot Chocolate cartridges, which by the way are pretty great (my taste). I simply can't tolerate the other stuff.

Does anyone else notice a sub par profile regardless of convenience?

Cheers,
W.

I hate the idea of brewing direct through plastic too.
