soymilk
does it work the same as regular milk in lattes, as far as frothing& consistency>? or does it throw the flavor off?

If you like soy milk it doesn't, I drink and use it, I like it.
It foams a little different and you can over foam it easily, when that happens it forms a ball of foam that you can't do much about.
