Smile Espresso Machine

Thanks for the reply and I will check on those two. I was hoping to stay around 300.00. I just want a machine that will last at least 2 or 3 years pour good shots with a decent steamer. Thanks again for the input, any other ideas are very appreciated.

How hands-on do you want to be? Have a decent grinder already? I ask because a customer of ours recently told me his sister has a Nepresso capsule machine and said the "espresso" from it was pretty decent. Of course it gives consistency, easy clean-up, etc. as well and all the ones I've seen have steam wands on them. Capsules end up costing more per drink than fresh beans of decent quality, but some people don't want the hassle of it all.

I found this little package over on coffee geek. Take a look at the link. I do not know this person, but most of the guys on coffee geek are serious about their coffee and keep their machines in good shape.

Hi,
I don't want to use the capsules or pods I guess they call them! Do you know anything about the Nemox or Ariete brands? I found some nice machines with those two and a great price.
Thanks again

Probably best to stay away from them. Best bottom dollar machines are the Gaggias. There are some cheaper than the Classic and most Gaggias have solid chrome plated brass groupheads, 58mm brass portafilters (chrome plated also) and small boilers for very quick recovery. There are a few new Gaggias since Philips acquired the company, but I wouldn't bother with them.

I would also check Craigslist. I've had tremendous luck on craigslist. I found my Olympia Cremina on CL for $250 and my current La San Marco for much less than 1/4 of the retail price.

I had a La Pavoni Europiccola espresso machine once but after a year of use, I found water leaking from the sight glass. I had it repaired but I've switched to a DeLonghi 3500 this time.
