Default I inhereted a percolater.

Now what? I've read about how it's the worst way to make coffee. It came out tasting burnt. Am I doing it wrong?

No, it's supposed to taste that way. How old is your percolater?

I scrubbed it real well. I didn't know if I should use vinegar or not. It seemed to have no mineral deposits.

Yeah, percolators recirculate the oils through the grounds over and over. I personally cannot take the taste. We use our percolator only to boil the water at a campsite and then add it to cold brewed shots. It tastes 1000 times better.

Growing up my parents drank coffee from a percolator. It taste terrible. It's probably what kept me from enjoying coffee until I was in my late twenties.

Sounds like a Holiday Inn sponsored convention. Bulk gnarliness.

hahaha nice

I remember my grandmother used to use one of those bad boys. I was too young to remember what it tasted like, though. I do remember thinking it was cool to watch the coffee percolate in it.
