    Pros: Sweet, full bodied

    Cons: a little bitter

    Recommended? Yes

I'm a huge fan of Matias and the coffee coming out of Down to Earth.

Aside from his policies in bringing it to market, he strives to provide a quality product with the name he loves attached to it.

With subtle notes of caramel and chocolate, and this espresso it great for the base of any drink you will be making. I personally like it straight with a dash of sugar.

It has a velvety mouth feel that lingers for a minute providing a warmth then a clean finish. The bitterness in this bean comes at the very end and is only noticeable when drinking straight espresso. I tried to find it in other drinks and it wasn't there.

I find this roast to be a pleasant middle ground. Not to bold, not weak, a great blend of quality beans and roasting, and all brought to us from a single estate provider using ethical procurement practices.

Down To Earth is the pinnacle of Costa Rican coffee. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to expand their coffee knowledge, or just looking for a great cup of coffee.
