I don’t hate Starbucks for the need to hate Starbucks; I hate them because the quality is terrible. I respect their consistency and their lax hiring policies (I would rather they work there), but this coffee stinks. With no discernable body and a bitterness typically reserved for robusto beans I found this coffee offensive in both taste and feel. As where a lot of premium coffees offer a velvety mouth feel this abomination tasted like bitter water mixed with coffee flavoring. The smell was especially charred and further led to the apt nickname Charbucks. There web site describes it as sweet and caramely, that couldn’t be farther from the truth. If you have a Starbucks lover that thinks they can do no wrong, change their minds by brewing up this cup of junk and set them on the path to good coffee.
