    Hey all,

Well, I just started cold brewing, and as I understand it, the ratio for coffee to water is about 1:8. So, for my use, that's 1/4 lb coffee to 1 quart water.

However, I accidentally used half gallon of water to a 1/4 lb of coffee, but it came fine (sat in the fridge for 24 hours); only needing 1/4 to a 1/3 cup of water added to the brew to make a cup the strength I like it.

The question is, does the 1:8 ratio do something better in terms of creating the brew, than the ratio I used (which, if my math is correct, would be 1:16)?

    Thanks much,

    Starkman

Congratulation for your new business and I wish you all the best for the future of this business, This is really a very good business. The ratio of the coffee to water is totally depended on your customer because some customer like hard coffee and while some are like light coffee so you must take the ratio which your customer wants. According to me 1:8 is more suitable for the taste of your coffee.
